What software do roadworthy test centres in South Africa use?
Aurora ROS is roadworthy centre software for South African testing stations. One record carries the booking, the test, the inspection and the invoice, with Aurora Printer and Aurora Cam feeding it from the lanes.
What happens to our records when we switch?
They come with you. You import your customers, vehicles and balances into ROS with our guidance. We configure your inspection sheets and pricing, train your team, and support you through the switch. Nothing goes live until you approve it.
What does it cost to get started?
It depends on the size of your centre and whether hardware comes with the software. Aurora Rentals puts devices, licence, support and replacement on one monthly cost. Book a demo and we will price it.
Does it handle eNaTIS certificates?
Yes. Aurora Printer keeps the certificate as it prints from eNaTIS and files it against the right vehicle, test and customer inside ROS. Nothing is scanned or retyped, and it can be reprinted years later.
Can we use our own inspection checklist?
Yes. Inspection types, categories and questions are configured per centre, so the sheet matches your lanes, your vehicles and your clients. Results are captured as structured data and reviewed before they reach the customer.
Can it run more than one testing station?
Yes. Each branch operates independently with its own lanes, examiners, pricing and documents, while owners can monitor every branch through a single dashboard with consolidated reporting.
What happens to accounts that fall behind?
Credit limits, ledgers, statements and enforcement sit alongside the billing engine, so an account over its limit is visible before the next vehicle goes onto the lane.
How do customers know when a test is due again?
ROS tracks when each vehicle is due and sends the reminder by SMS or email under your centre's name. Every message is recorded against the customer, so nobody has to guess who was contacted.
